Creative Students Community Initiative

This charitable initiative was launched to encourage Delta students to support those in need in their community while also thinking about all the people across many different industries who are working to keep everything working during uncertain times.

We asked students to think about people they are thankful for and use their creativity to show or tell us about them.

We reached our goal of over 1,000 submissions. To honor our pledge we have made a donation to the Delta School District Food Security Program, of $10,000.00 to help families in need in Delta.

About the Food Security Program

Although schools are closed for in-class instruction, Delta School District is helping to ensure students continue to have access to food by providing 125 families with food hampers each week. This is the fourth week that the district has provided food for local families. To date, 370 hampers have been distributed in North Delta and 125 hampers distributed in Ladner and Tsawwassen.
